• 4:22 Bond 2023 Update: Amerman Elementary Construction Progress Featured

  Amerman Principal Devon Caudill takes us on a summer construction tour to showcase all the exciting Bond 2023 updates happening around the building! The new multi-purpose room expansion now has a roof, with crews preparing to pour the concrete floor—just in time for students to enjoy lunch there on the first day of school. The kindergarten playground is getting a complete makeover with new equipment and expanded swings. The front office is being expanded, a new canopy is being installed, and the entire front of the building is getting a fresh facelift. Inside, classrooms, the media center, STEAM room, music room, and courtyard are all being reconfigured and refreshed to better serve students and staff. Once completed, the building will feature a fully updated, cohesive look—both inside and out. Thank you for your continued support as we work to enhance the Amerman experience for our students!

  The 9th annual Parent Camp and Wellness Fair is Saturday, February 3rd from 9-2pm at Northville High School. We have more than 40 presenting topics to choose from for the 3 breakout sessions. The assistant principal at Hillside Middle School will be offering strategies to help parents increase self motivation and resilience in their child. Our ESL (English Second Language) Department will be explaining how our ESL program works here at NPS. And Hillside's new school safety administrator will be talking to parents about the dangers of marijuana edibles.

  Since 2009, the Northville Educational Foundation has awarded more than $250,000 in innovative grants to teachers and staff throughout the district. This year, Catherine Gibson, learning consultant at Thornton Creek Elementary School, received grant money for her project called Develop the Whole Child. This project focuses on helping students with social emotional learning.

  We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your invaluable support in passing the 2023 Bond! This measure holds immense significance for our district, and we deeply appreciate the unwavering backing of our community in bringing it to fruition. In our inaugural video progress update, we paid a visit to Eight Mile Stadium, the focal point of current activity, where construction crews are diligently dismantling the home and visitor bleachers. This undertaking holds particular significance within the bond, as the replacement bleachers will be fully ADA compliant, equipped with handrails, and accommodating 4,500 seats.
