Stay up-to-date on the latest information regarding school closure and Coronavirus 2019 guidance.

Northville Public Schools remains vigilant in monitoring the ongoing guidance provided by State and local health and education officials, and in sharing timely and accurate information as it becomes available. To that end, we have developed a "Frequently Asked Questions" document with COVID-19 updates, additional guidance on closures, and resources available to support students and families.

NPS School Re-entry Communication, August 6, 2020

On Tuesday, August 4, 2020, the Northville Public Schools Board of Education approved a plan to begin the 2020-2021 school year with a Virtual Start for the month of September for elementary, middle and high school students that will transition to an approved in-person scenario no later than the first week of October.

8-4-20 Special Call Meeting of the Board of Education

Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order No. 2020-154 provides temporary authorization of remote participation in public meeting and hearings and temporary relief from monthly meeting requirements for school boards until August 11, 2020 + 28 days. As a result, the Northville Board of Education will meet electronically for the Special Call Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, August 4, 2020

School Reentry Update; Stakeholder Survey Results; Next Steps

Following months of our Task Force work, an interim report to the Board on 6/23/20, a final report on 7/14/20 and two subsequent presentations and public hearing opportunities on 7/15/20 and 7/21/20, Tuesday, 7/28/20 was the Board of Education’s final review of all of the materials, consideration of stakeholder survey results, and opportunity to ask any questions they may have, seek clarification and/or provide feedback on the scenarios and Roadmap considerations prior to taking any formal action.
