  This Classroom Close-Up takes you inside Ms. Traci Lowes' Honors Chemistry class at Northville High School, where students are bringing science to life with a flame test lab! In this hands-on experiment, students observe the unique colors emitted by different metal ions when heated, using these vibrant flames to calculate frequency, wavelength, and energy. Just like a fingerprint, each element has its own distinct light signature—making this an exciting way to explore the relationship between electrons, energy, and the visible spectrum.

  The 9th annual Parent Camp and Wellness Fair is Saturday, February 3rd from 9-2pm at Northville High School. We have more than 40 presenting topics to choose from for the 3 breakout sessions. Our amazing high school counselors will be presenting on transitioning to high school and college planning 101. Plus, a teacher from the high school will be offering up strategies to help your student with time management and organization and how to manage distractions.

  Since 2009, the Northville Educational Foundation has awarded over $250,000 in innovative grants to teachers and staff throughout the district. This year, a total of $25,000 has been allocated for multiple grants, up to $3,000 per grant submission.
  
  This year, Angie Mazurek and Jessica Baitinger (NHS) received grant money for their Hunt A Killer project.

  Northville Public Schools is proud to announce the launch of our newly designed website! Our website underwent a much needed revamp. The new website is a lot more crisp looking and user-friendly. We couldn't believe how nice it looks on our phone as well. It was created with YOU in mind; with enhanced features, improved navigation, and a fresh-modern look.
  
  We'd like to point out a few features we are excited about...our menu bar is now horizontal so you can easily see all of the options, we pulled many of the frequently used website topics and made them into buttons, one of those buttons is Why NPS?, where you can discover the top talking points of Northville Public Schools.
  
  And make sure to keep an eye on our new video gallery where you can get the inside scoop on what our students and staff are up to in and around the district. Plus, we have become quite the social butterfly and would love for you to follow us. We've added a new LIVE social media feed on our website so you can see the most recent posts across the board.
