Northville Public Schools offers several Parent Application Portals. This page will help you understand the different portals you can use as a parent and what each offers you and your family.

MISTAR Q ParentConnection

Q ParentConnection logoMISTAR Q ParentConnection is our student information system that provides parents with direct access to student data. Parents are assigned a PIN which never changes. You can log in with the email address we have on file or using the PIN. When you enroll, you will receive an initial password, but you can change it. You can login on the desktop version or the mobile app.

Schoology

Schoology is an integrated learning management solution that provides course management, mobile learning. Students use Schoology to complete assignments provided by their teachers and each student has an account. Parents can connect to their students accounts to see assignment information and grades. Parents can receive communications from the teacher as well. Parents need to elf-enroll to obtain an account. Schoology allows up to two parent accounts per student.
 

How to Register

This process is only for new accounts:
  1. Get your Parent Access Code for each student. It can be found under the Login Information module on MISTAR Q ParentConnection. You must have this code to set up your account.
  2. Go to the Parent Registration page
  3. Enter the Parent Access Code for one of your students to begin.
  4. You will now be instructed to set up an account with an email and password.
  5. If you have more than one student, you can connect additional students after you login with the first student.
  6. Each student can have up to 2 parent accounts.
Tip: If you had a Schoology account at a different school district, you may need to contact the previous district to disable your account.
 

Existing Users

  1. Go to app.schoology.com/login (This is the parent link only. Students have a different link)
  2. Enter the email address and password used to set up the parent account. It must be an email address, not a username.

ParentSquare

ParentSquare is our district communication application. As a parent, you are automatically signed up for ParentSquare communications with the email address you provided. You do not need to sign up for the ParentSquare app to receive communications. However, there are added benefits to having an account.
  • Manage your notification settings
  • Sign up for other school informational emails
  • View all email posts in one place
  • Signups or field trip forms may be posted in the app

Notification Settings

In the notification settings, you can select to have all emails sent as a daily digest once per day instead of immediately. However, if the district feels a communication is more urgent, we can bypass the digest setting to make sure you receive your communications in a timely manner. We also have the option to send urgent alerts which will always be sent immediately.

Review your Contact Information

In ParentSquare, you will see the email address and phone number you have on file with us. You may request an update to that information. However, the change needs to be made in Mistar by one of our staff. If you need to update your email address or phone number, please contact your school. Once updated, the information will be synced to ParentSquare.
