Northville Public Schools is proud to announce the launch of our newly designed website! Our website underwent a much needed revamp. The new website is a lot more crisp looking and user-friendly. We couldn't believe how nice it looks on our phone as well. It was created with YOU in mind; with enhanced features, improved navigation, and a fresh-modern look.

We'd like to point out a few features we are excited about...our menu bar is now horizontal so you can easily see all of the options, we pulled many of the frequently used website topics and made them into buttons, one of those buttons is Why NPS?, where you can discover the top talking points of Northville Public Schools.

And make sure to keep an eye on our new video gallery where you can get the inside scoop on what our students and staff are up to in and around the district. Plus, we have become quite the social butterfly and would love for you to follow us. We've added a new LIVE social media feed on our website so you can see the most recent posts across the board.

Color My World recently hosted a 5k Color Run for Mental Health Awareness at Northville High School. The money raised at the event will go toward different outreaches that the club puts on throughout the school year.

2:47 Northville 3rd Graders Keep Heritage Festival Tradition Alive Featured

More than 500 Northville 3rd graders took over Mill Race Village and the downtown area to celebrate our heritage which began in 1867. The 3rd graders were able to watch historical reenactments by some of our high school student volunteers, play field games at Ford Field, listen to an animated storyteller and magician and a fan favorite was the high school acapella group's performance at Genitti's. An interactive history lesson right at our fingertips.

2:46 Fresh Vibe at This Year's Staff Welcome Back Event Featured

More than 600 Northville Public School staff members filed into the Northville High School auditorium for this year's staff Welcome Back event.

Each school sat together donning their school apparel. Our new Superintendent, Dr. RJ Webber, filled the room with excitement, inspiration, and gratitude. Dr. Webber recognized those staff members who have worked for more than 20 years and beyond. And then there's our high school band director who has been teaching for 49 years!

The Northville Educational Foundation shared some exciting updates to their Innovative Grants Program, Staff Giving, and Thank a Staff Campaign, which will be shared publicly soon.

The highlight of the event was when a group of our students took the stage to conduct a gratitude circle, where they shared what they are grateful for here at NPS. A perfect pull at the heart strings! Moments of laughter and tears. This is our WHY! They are our why!

After an inspiring Welcome Back session, it ended on a high note with the band playing the school fight song. We're ready to make 2022-23 school year the best year yet! We're ready for you students! Let's make it a great year!

2:30 NPS Food Service in Dire Need of Help Featured

The Northville Public Schools Food Service Department currently has 30 job openings and they are scrambling to fill those positions before school starts back up. Right now, Ridge Wood and Thornton Creek Elementary Schools do not have any food service staff members. And the high school had to shut down a couple food lanes this past school year because they were so understaffed.

2:23 NEF Innovative Grants 2022: Catherine Gibson Featured

Since 2009, the Northville Educational Foundation has awarded more than $250,000 in innovative grants to teachers and staff throughout the district. This year, Catherine Gibson, learning consultant at Thornton Creek Elementary School, received grant money for her project called Develop the Whole Child. This project focuses on helping students with social emotional learning.

23:40 Mary Kay Gallagher's Retirement Video Featured

On Thursday, June 16, 2022, the community celebrated and honored the retirement of superintendent Mary Kay Gallagher. After a nice reception in Northville High School's cafeteria, the drumline grabbed everyone's attention and helped with the transition period into the auditorium for a sentimental ceremony. The Early Childhood Education and Extended Day Program Coordinator, Chelsea Simons, presented Ms. Gallagher with a fairy garden made specially by the preschoolers. The Northville Board of Education announced a dedication and naming of the "Mary Kay Gallagher Media Center" at Moraine Elementary School.
