They added 15 products to their assigned consumer to represent their target market, utilizing market segmentation to create a representative consumer with similar wants and needs.

  For this Classroom Close-Up we were invited to join Julie Warum's first grade class at Amerman Elementary School. The students were investigating indoor and outdoor sounds and figuring out what information the sounds give us, like if you hear cars then that means you are close to a busy road.

  In early December, a 3rd grade class at Amerman Elementary hosted their annual Econ Fair. Ms. Parnin's class learned about Michigan's economy and had to create a product and business. Students in other classes were given 15 Parnin bucks to shop with at the fair.

  For this edition of Classroom Close-Up, we had the pleasure of joining Greg Lanzi's 8th-grade band class at Hillside Middle School. Mr. Lanzi orchestrated an immersive in-school symphonic concert band camp to fine-tune the students' skills in preparation for their upcoming festival. Guiding them through this musical journey was none other than professional clinician, Michael Kaufman, whose expertise was generously made accessible thanks to a grant from the Northville Educational Foundation.

• 2:04 NHS Seniors Take Advantage of Senior Experience Day Featured

  On Wednesday, April 12th, students at Northville High School were taking the PSAT and SAT, except for the seniors. For Senior Experience Day, the students had the option to tour Schoolcraft College, volunteer at our elementary schools, create their own service project, or set up their own college tour.
