  For this Classroom Close-Up we visited the Summer School program at Moraine Elementary where the students were doing a fun Social Emotional Learning (SEL) activity. The students were challenged to pass a ball around the circle so that everyone received the ball one time without just passing the ball to the person directly next to you.

  A year in the making, Amerman's newest artwork has been installed! The 5th graders were challenged to come up with a design for a new mural, and the results were incredible! The main material for the mural was bottle caps! The whole school was involved in the bottle cap collection process. The mural ended up using about 3,000 caps!
