  For this Classroom Close-Up we were invited to Shannon Cullen's Robotics class at Meads Mill Middle School. The 8th graders were building clawbots which are robots that can be programmed to move around and interact with objects. The students were challenged to move as many blocks as they could in an area and compete against other teams in their class.

  The iCode School in Novi offers hands-on, instructor-led coding & STEM Education classes for kids and teens. They hosted a coding boot camp for our summer school students at Moraine Elementary. The students got to use Scratch, a free and fun coding program, to create their own animation.
