The students were improving their informational writing skills by sharing their work and getting tips from their peers.

  At Silver Springs Elementary School's 11th annual Leadership Day, parents were invited to learn about the school's 7 Habits directly from the students. Each grade taught a specific habit, and the day concluded with a collective session on the final habits. Students actively participated as emcees, tour guides, and in other roles, showcasing their leadership skills. The event serves as a dynamic and engaging way for both parents and students to embrace the principles of leadership.

The students were learning how increasingly diverse choices of media and communication outlets influence political institutions and behavior. The students played a game online called Bad News which simulates how misinformation and disinformation becomes part of our public discourse.

One group was working on fine motor skills by building their own floor is lava game with cups, popsicle sticks, and little plastic bears. The second group was practicing their writing skills by copying winter words onto their whiteboard.
