2:49 NHS' Unified Program Featured
Five years ago, Northville High School was named a Unified Champion School but this past fall they received National Banner Recognition. A Unified Champion School receiving national banner recognition is one that has demonstrated commitment to inclusion by meeting 10 national standards of excellence. These standards were developed by a national panel of leaders from Special Olympics and the education community. NHS has a unified robotics team, basketball team, and soon a bocce ball team.

This free, full-day program launched this school year and is being offered at Winchester and Ridge Wood Elementary Schools. Providing our littlest learners, also known as Kinderstangs, an additional year to grow academically, socially, and emotionally before kindergarten. The Young 5’s program emphasizes foundational skills like fine and gross motor development, early literacy, and hands-on math activities.
