  For this Classroom Close-Up we visited Jen Lawson's Algebra class at Hillside Middle School where the students were working on a project in which they are writing an exponential function to predict the population of a city in 5 years. Plus, Ms. Lawson loves to head up care packages for military troops overseas. Many students donated items, wrote cards, and helped put together the care packages.

The students played a game where they had to try and find the communists in the class based on the random cards they were given.
