1:20 Silver Springs Elementary Encourages Self-Affirmations in NEST Lesson Featured
Silver Springs Elementary held their first NEST (Neighbors Enthusiastically Synergizing Together) lesson of the year. On days when the school has a NEST lesson, everyone in the school does the same learning activity. Sometimes they mix up ages and grades to synergize, sometimes they connect with another classroom virtually to synergize, and sometimes they meet with just their own classroom family to synergize. The school hasn't met as NEST groups since January 2020. This first lesson focused on positive self-affirmations. The students watched a short video about the power of self-affirmations and brainstormed some examples. The school will soon be putting up mirrors along with positive affirmations in the hallways.
