4:22 Bond 2023 Update: Amerman Elementary Construction Progress Featured
Amerman Principal Devon Caudill takes us on a summer construction tour to showcase all the exciting Bond 2023 updates happening around the building! The new multi-purpose room expansion now has a roof, with crews preparing to pour the concrete floor—just in time for students to enjoy lunch there on the first day of school. The kindergarten playground is getting a complete makeover with new equipment and expanded swings. The front office is being expanded, a new canopy is being installed, and the entire front of the building is getting a fresh facelift. Inside, classrooms, the media center, STEAM room, music room, and courtyard are all being reconfigured and refreshed to better serve students and staff. Once completed, the building will feature a fully updated, cohesive look—both inside and out. Thank you for your continued support as we work to enhance the Amerman experience for our students!

1:02 Bond 2023 Update: Meads Mill Middle School Construction Progress Featured
Join Meads Mill Assistant Principal Will Lambdin as he gives us a rooftop, bird's-eye view of the exciting Bond 2023 construction progress! Work is well underway on the new 11,000 square foot Robotics and STEAM addition, expected to open to students in early fall 2025 and fully completed by December 2025. This summer, major site work is taking place, including asphalt milling and resealing, concrete removal, sewer line replacement, tree removal, drainage pond clearing, and more. Temporary fencing and safety signage are in place to restrict access during construction. For the safety of our community and construction crews, we kindly ask that all residents avoid using the school grounds until the work is complete. Thank you for your patience and support as we continue to enhance Meads Mill for the future!

In this Classroom Close-Up, we visit Mr. Joe Taiariol's middle school dual-diagnosed special education class at Cooke School, where students explored the letter "Y" through a hands-on, sensory-rich experience in the vocational kitchen. The day began with students writing and sharing words that start with "Y," followed by an engaging cooking activity where they prepared yogurt parfaits. Students practiced their fine motor skills by chopping fruit and smashing cookies, and used augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices to choose their favorite toppings. It was a delicious way to blend language, life skills, and communication into one fun and meaningful lesson!
