IB Advisory Council

As part of the district’s initiatives to become an IB authorized school for both the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP), an IB Advisory Council (IBAC) and eight related subcommittees are being organized to complete various action items needed for authorization. Parents can play an important role by their participation on the advisory council. The purpose of the council is to:

  • Review, edit, combine the work of the building level teams
  • Provide input to various subgroups

It will consist of a variety of stakeholders, including teachers, parents, students, community members, and administrators. Specifically, the IBAC will consist of:

  • one to two teachers per building (HMS, MMS, and NHS)
  • one to two parents per building
  • one to two students per building
  • one to two community members
  • three building administrators/coordinators

If you are interested in participating, please use the link below to complete the application form and return it to the address listed on the form.
