School district calendars for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 school years are now available online. Both maintain a school calendar of 180 days. This includes a full day on the first day of school (Tuesday, September 5, 2017 for this school year), a half-day the Wednesday before the Thanksgiving holiday, a half-day records day at the end of the first semester in January, and a professional development day in April to accommodate M-STEP testing at the high school. New for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 school years is a half-day for students the Friday before Mid-Winter Recess and afternoon professional development for teachers. The last day of school will be a half day (Thursday, June 14, 2018 for this school year.)
You can find the 2017-18 and 2018-19 school year calendars on the district website at Calendars.
In addition, please note that beginning with the 2017-18 school year, half-day dismissal times for students will be extended by 20 minutes for elementary, middle school and Cooke students, and by 5 minutes for high school students.
