Mentally Strong Mustangs Presents: “Stronger Than Stress”

Northville Public Schools’ Mentally Strong Mustangs program is designed to support the mental and emotional well-being of students involved in extracurricular activities. Made possible through 31n6 Mental Health and Support Services grant funding and supported by licensed mental health practitioners, the program provides workshops, team support, and mentorship to help students balance the demands of academics, athletics, arts, and other activities outside the school day.

This month, Mentally Strong Mustangs is hosting its first student session — "Stronger Than Stress.”

📅 Date: Thursday, October 30, 2025
🕖 Time: 7:20 a.m.
📍 Location: NHS Annex (back section of the cafeteria)

During this interactive session, students will learn what’s actually happening in the brain when stress hits — and how to reset before things spiral. Participants will walk away with practical tools to:

  • Shift the brain from alarm mode to clear mode
  • Catch anxious thoughts before they take over
  • Set boundaries to protect their energy
  • Build focus and resilience without burning out

Students will also have a chance to reflect on their own stress triggers — What’s stressing you out most right now? When stress hits, where do you notice it first?

Because stress is part of the process — but growth is the result.
