In a remarkable achievement, all six elementary schools within Northville Public Schools have been recognized on the 2024 Leader in Me Lighthouse Academic Honor Roll, showcasing their commitment to fostering a culture of leadership while achieving exemplary academic performance. Northville’s elementary schools are among just 54 schools across the nation honored for Exemplary Academic Proficiency, making up a significant portion of this prestigious list.

Each of Northville’s elementary schools demonstrated outstanding academic performance, with their percentile rankings reaching at least 94 in the state. This distinction highlights their success in meeting the high standards for academic proficiency, placing them among the top schools in Michigan.

The Lighthouse Academic Honor Roll is a recognition program created to celebrate Leader in Me Schools that meet the rigorous standards necessary to achieve and maintain Lighthouse School Certification while also demonstrating outstanding academic performance or growth. Schools earn this annual honor by achieving either of two standards: Exemplary Academic Proficiency or Exemplary Academic Growth.

Northville's elementary schools were recognized for their Exemplary Academic Proficiency, achieving at or above the 85th percentile in the state's combined proficiency standards. This honor showcases the schools’ success in combining academic rigor with a strong culture of student leadership and character development.

The Lighthouse Academic Honor Roll results from an independent analysis by Schooldigger.com, a nonprofit organization that uses a detailed algorithm to rank schools based on their academic performance. This process ensures that the recognition reflects a school’s ability to meet or exceed rigorous academic standards.

In addition to the honor, each school will receive a special decal to proudly display on their Lighthouse Banner, signifying their status as a leader in academic excellence and character education.
