Hi! I'm Ms. Johnson, I teach at the Cooke Satellite here at Northville High School. I teach our dual diagnosed students, they have emotional and cognitive impairments. Today you're going to watch a differentiated writing lesson that we do in class. I have four high school peers who are here in supporting and so you'll get to see how with the picture prompt we all see the same picture but our writing turns out different and they all have different modes of writing. Come on in. Alright everyone. So let's look at our picture for today's writing, what do you see? What do you see in your picture? Cooking! Who's cooking? Chef Ramsey, alright. What are they cooking? Tacos, it kind of looks like tacos. Golumpkis, okay. What else do you notice? Anything else? There's some fruit. Okay. Lettuce. Lots of cooking utensils. Hot peppers, okay. So looking at this, what might you title your writing today? Think about it.  What might you call your writing today, okay? Remember, you're going to write it on the blank line at the top. I'm Vonzell and working on handwriting, paragraph, cooking picture and my friend Kiera is helping me. I think it tastes ok. Chef's are busy or they're working hard? What do you think, what should we write buddy? Let's use some of our words. They are, the chefs are cooking... cooking food, baking. Oh, they're baking, I like that. The chefs are baking. Good choice buddy. Knife. It is called a knife. Knives. Chef's use knives. K- n-i- v-e-s. Always put a period there. Chef's use knives. Good job!
