Dear Northville Public Schools’ Families, Staff and Students,
As many of you may know, on November 15, 2020, at 6:00 p.m., the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services issued an updated Gatherings and Face Masks Emergency Order that takes effect on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, through December 8, 2020. The impact of this order on schools includes the requirement to move Northville High School into full virtual instruction beginning on Wednesday, November 18, 2020. Additionally, all sports and clubs that include in-person gatherings are suspended during this time. Please note that while this Health Order does not impact our elementary and middle school instructional programming, it does prohibit all organized sports and in-person extracurricular activities at elementary and middle school as well.
The District is working with our schools to ensure that Northville High School (NHS) student instruction smoothly transitions to full virtual beginning on Wednesday, November 19, 2020 through December 8, 2020. More information will be coming.
Additionally, we continue to work closely with the Wayne County Department of Health on an ongoing basis to monitor our school and community data, risk factors and mitigation measures, including a scheduled review taking place this week.
We remain grateful for your partnership as we work together with our students, staff, families and community to promote the learning, safety, health and well-being of all.
Mary K. Gallagher
