Northville PTA Advocacy representatives from across the school district are partnering to host a Northville Board of Education Candidates Forum for interested voters in the upcoming November 6, 2018 General Election. During the forum – slated for Tuesday, October 16, 2018, 7:00-8:00 p.m., at Hillside Middle School, 775 North Center Street – voters will hear from the four candidates vying for the three open seats on the Northville Public Schools Board of Education.
This includes current Board members Roland Hwang and James Mazurek as well as Angela Jaafar, and Suzanne Lynn who are seeking their first terms. Candidate profiles and voter information are available on the district website at 2018 Election.
The format for the Candidates Forum will allow for each candidate to give short opening and closing statements, with the opportunity for audience members to submit questions for the candidates through the forum moderator.
Following five years of dedicated service, current Board member Ann Kalass – first appointed to the Board in January 2014 and elected to a four-year term in January 2015 – is stepping down from the Board when her term ends in December.
