Young 5's Program: KinderSTANGS
Program Highlights
- Full day, five days a week
- NO COST to families of eligible students
- Same start/end times as our elementary schools
- Follows the NPS school year calendar
- Before and after school care is available to students at a cost
- Bussing will be offered to those students who meet the district's transportation criteria
- Grade Progression for Young 5s student -
Year 1: Young 5s, Year 2: Kindergarten, Year 3: First Grade

| July 1, 2026 to September 1, 2026 | Eligible for Kindergarten or Young 5s. |
| September 2, 2026 to December 1, 2026 | May enroll in Kindergarten. We suggest families consider enrolling their student in our new Young 5's Program. (Signed waiver is required for both programs) |
| After December 2, 2026 | Not eligible for Kindergarten or Young 5's Program.* |
*Students who turn 5 after
December 2, 2026 are NOT eligible for Kindergarten or Young 5s for the
