Middle School Advanced Math Program
Middle school math allows students to develop their math skills and to build a strong foundation, helping to make them successful in high school math courses.
Middle School Math Placement Guidelines
Northville Schools has transitioned from the NWEA to the i-Ready assessment. For middle school math placement of incoming sixth-grade students, multiple data sources will be considered.
Incoming sixth-grade students will have the opportunity to be placed into Math 6, Advanced Math 6, or a subsequent grade-level math class. In advanced math courses, teachers will embed above-grade-level standards when appropriate.
