NORTHVILLE, MI — Northville Public Schools has officially named Steve Mezzadri as the district’s next Director of Technology following unanimous approval from the Board of Education.

Mezzadri brings over 20 years of educational technology leadership to the role, including the past eight years as Network Engineer right here at Northville Public Schools. Throughout his tenure at NPS, he has earned a reputation across the district as a dependable, approachable, and calm problem-solver for staff, students, and families navigating tech challenges.

In his new role, Mezzadri will oversee all district technology operations - including network infrastructure, cybersecurity, classroom learning tools, data management, and long-term tech planning aligned with educational goals.

Before joining Northville, Mezzadri served as a Senior Network Analyst at Wayne RESA, where he supported technology systems and leadership across nine Wayne County school districts, as well as a Network Administrator for Livonia Public Schools. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a Minor in Mathematics from Eastern Michigan University, alongside several professional certifications spanning Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, and Apple.

"I take pride in building systems that people can depend on," Mezzadri said. "Success depends not only on technical expertise, but also on building strong relationships and leading with empathy, patience, and a positive attitude."

Dr. RJ Webber stated, “Mr. Mezzadri has been and will continue to be a gift to Northville Public Schools. Our community is so very fortunate to benefit from his impressive intellect, strong work ethic, and student centered advocacy to the safe utilization of educational technology. I know those who have served beside Steve over the past eight years are excited to see him flourish in his new role.”

The selection follows a comprehensive process supported by a dedicated stakeholder interview committee made up of district staff, families, and community members.
