Northville Public Schools Fuels Up for Teacher Appreciation Week

Three women smile together in front of a teal Travelin' Tom's Coffee truck during a staff appreciation event; one holds a red patterned umbrella.

The aroma of fresh-brewed espresso and the sight of a vibrant teal truck have become familiar scenes across Northville Public Schools this week. To kick off the celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week the district partnered with Travelin' Toms Coffee to bring specialty treats to staff members at every building.

The district-wide tour, which began on April 20, was designed to recognize the dedication of educators, administrators, and support staff. From the early morning shift at the Transportation department to the afternoon rush at Northville High School, the coffee truck has served over 1,000 staff members across 13 different locations.

Rain or Shine Appreciation

Despite some typical Michigan spring showers, the energy remained high. Staff members gathered—sometimes under umbrellas—to enjoy a variety of specialty beverages, including:

  • Nitro Cold Brews and custom lattes.

  • Signature Drinks like the Honey Blueberry latte.

  • Refreshers and Tilt Nitro Energy drinks for a non-coffee boost.

Recognizing the NPS Team

This initiative serves as a precursor to the official Teacher Appreciation Week, which begins Monday, May 4. By bringing a mobile cafe directly to the schools, the district aimed to provide a convenient and joyful "thank you" to the individuals who support Northville students every day.
