Welcome Parents and Students Interested in
the 2011-2012
Reflections Program!
The national PTA believes all children
deserve a quality arts education and encourages
students to pursue artistic expression through
its 42nd annual Reflections Program. This is a
national arts competition focused on the
student’s artistic response to each year’s
theme. This year’s theme is “Diversity
Means…” Awards are given at the local,
state, and national levels. Students in grades
K-12 may enter as many entries as they’d like,
in one or more of the six categories listed
below.
This year, you can download all the
information you need right here, from the
Northville Public Schools website. Everyone
should access:
- Checklist
- Entry Form (Specific to your School)
- General Participation Rules
- Rules for your Particular Category
- NEW! Student Consent Form
(This needs to be filled out for anyone under
18 appearing in your entry, other than the
artist.)
Optional: If you have an idea
for a theme for future Reflections competitions,
you may also download, print and mail the “Theme
Search Form” to the state PTA. The winning theme
will receive a cash award. (To assist you in
completing this form, all your local PTA
information is located on the bottom of your
specific school’s Student Entry Form). The
deadline for the theme search is November 18th
and the mailing address for the form is:

Also: The “Frequently Asked Questions” are
available for help, if necessary.
The six categories are listed separately
below. You will need to download and print
the one page entry form for each entry you are
submitting. If you choose to, you may
download and print only those rules in the
categories in which you are interested in
participating. These are two/three pages each.
The deadline for this
year’s contest is
November 30th
Make sure your entry is ready to submit by
implementing the “Checklist”. If you have any
questions, please read the “Frequently Asked
Questions” document below. If further assistance
is needed, you may contact your school’s
chairperson listed at the bottom of each entry
form.

students recognized as winners at the national
