Reflections Program 2011-2012
Welcome Parents and Students Interested in the 2011-2012
Reflections Program!

The national PTA believes all children deserve a quality arts education and encourages students to pursue artistic expression through its 42nd annual Reflections Program. This is a national arts competition focused on the student’s artistic response to each year’s theme. This year’s theme is “Diversity Means…”  Awards are given at the local, state, and national levels. Students in grades K-12 may enter as many entries as they’d like, in one or more of the six categories listed below.

This year, you can download all the information you need right here, from the Northville Public Schools website. Everyone should access:

  • Checklist
  • Entry Form (Specific to your School)
  • General Participation Rules
  • Rules for your Particular Category
  • NEW! Student Consent Form
(This needs to be filled out for anyone under 18 appearing in your entry, other than the artist.)

Optional: If you have an idea for a theme for future Reflections competitions, you may also download, print and mail the “Theme Search Form” to the state PTA. The winning theme will receive a cash award. (To assist you in completing this form, all your local PTA information is located on the bottom of your specific school’s Student Entry Form). The deadline for the theme search is November 18th and the mailing address for the form is: Michigan PTSA Eisenhower Place, Ann Arbor, MI 48108

Also: The “Frequently Asked Questions” are available for help, if necessary.

The six categories are listed separately below. You will need to download and print the one page entry form for each entry you are submitting. If you choose to, you may download and print only those rules in the categories in which you are interested in participating. These are two/three pages each.

The deadline for this year’s contest is
November 30th

Make sure your entry is ready to submit by implementing the “Checklist”. If you have any questions, please read the “Frequently Asked Questions” document below. If further assistance is needed, you may contact your school’s chairperson listed at the bottom of each entry form.

For the last two years, Northville has had students recognized as winners at the national level. Please check out the Rewards and Recognition link to see award packages for the 2011-2012 competition.

Thank you and good luck!
