All 11 Northville Public School buildings are
locked down at the beginning of each school day.
This means all exterior doors are locked from
the outside except those at the building’s main
entrance, located near the school office.
Northville High School has two entrances open
during the school day.
All visitors during school hours, including
parents, are required to sign in at the school
office and wear a visitor’s badge at all times
while in the building. School staff will direct
anyone without proper identification to the
office.
Hillside Middle School and Northville High
School have hall monitors who walk the halls of
these buildings throughout the school day. The
high school also has a Northville Township
police officer in the building during school
hours.
All school buses are equipped with
communication systems that enable bus drivers to
be in constant communication with the district’s
Transportation Department as they transport
students.
