Northville Council of PTAs will provide and
participate in programs and activities that
will benefit children directly or
indirectly. The council will continue its
commitment to the following programs as well
as others:
Junior Enrichment Series
provide grade level and school wide
assemblies that enhance/augment curriculum
instruction for all students attending
Northville Public Schools.
Legislative Action Network (LAN)
is a standing committee of the
Northville Council of PTAs. LAN’s goal is to
protect the interests of our children’s
education in Lansing and Washington in a
non-partisan approach. To accomplish this,
LAN members:
- Inform parents about important education
issues “percolating” at the state or federal
level
- Encourage people to contact legislators to
make sure their voice is heard
- Mobilize advocacy for issues that impact
the quality of our children’s education
Parent Awareness coordinates
and/or sponsors community wide speakers on
relevant and timely topics that will help
parents handle parenting issues. Events will
take place throughout the year and
information will be made available to all in
the community.
Reflections provide all
children kindergarten through twelfth grade
an opportunity to participate in the PTA
annual arts Reflections Programs. Students
are encouraged to submit their work in one
of the following categories: Film/Video
Production, Dance, Choreography, Musical
Composition, Photography, Visual Arts and
Literature.
The Council funds many of these and other
programs through the annual School Supply
Kits fundraiser. The sales of the kits occur
in spring and are made available to the
parents/students prior to the start of the
school year. All proceeds are used to
benefit the students of Northville Public
Schools.
Your time, efforts and continued support
provided to our kids, schools and community
are greatly appreciated.
