About the Board

The governance for this school district is provided by the Northville Public Schools Board of Education. This seven-panel board is made up of community members who live within the boundaries of the Northville School District.

Each board seat is established through the local election process. The primary function of the Board of Education is to lead the district by establishing a balanced district budget, setting district policy, hiring district personnel, and giving leadership to the overarching mission and vision for the schools.

Ultimately, the Board of Education is the connecting point between the local school district and the Northville community. Board of Education meetings are held generally twice per month on Tuesday evenings. Meetings are open to the public and each meeting offers an opportunity for community members to address the Board of Education.
