Parent Boot Camp

On Saturday, February 11, 2017, Northville Public Schools hosted a Parent Boot Camp featuring Key Note Speaker's from Alma College, Eastern Michigan University, Oberlin College, Michigan State University, Schoolcraft College and University of Chicago.  The morning included breakout sessions on various topics of interest for parents.  This page provides resources and material relative to the topics shared at the camp.

Educational Opportunities at NHS

Educational opportunities will be examined and explained with a focus on AP/IB placement and college readiness.

Technology Use Basics for Parents-Elementary

If your child is already using Google in the classroom and you would like to support them at home, or you are looking for more ways to support your student and would like to learn what Google has this is the place for you! Topics include: Google Drive, talk to text writing, and Chrome browser organizational support.

Transition Between Elementary, Middle School, High School

This session was focused on organizational and time management skills which will support students as they learn independence and responsibility (supporting a child versus doing things for the child).

Advanced Programming: Elementary/Middle School

An overview of the different academic strategies and programs utilized to support the academic needs of students (ALPS and MYP/ IB programs).
