Dual Enrollment Information Night Hosted by Schoolcraft College

Northville High School students and families, get ready for an exciting opportunity! Schoolcraft College will host a Dual Enrollment Information Night on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from 6-7pm via Zoom. This event is designed to inform NHS students about the unique dual enrollment program that will be available at no cost to them during the 2024-25 school year.

Schoolcraft College recently received a significant grant, enabling NHS students to take college-level courses without any financial burden to themselves or the school district. This means students can earn college credits while still in high school, giving them a head start on their college journey and reducing future tuition costs.

Why Should NHS Students Attend?

Dual enrollment provides a unique opportunity for students to:
  • Earn high school and college credits simultaneously.
  • Explore various academic interests and potential career paths.
  • Gain college-level experience, making the transition to higher education smoother.
  • Save on future college tuition costs by completing credits early.
Families interested in learning more about this incredible opportunity should mark their calendars for May 7th and join the Zoom presentation. During the session, Schoolcraft College representatives will explain the enrollment process, discuss the available courses, and answer questions to ensure NHS students can make the most of this program.

Dr. Glenn Cerny, president of Schoolcraft College, highlighted the benefits of this initiative, stating, "We are thrilled to offer dual enrollment at no cost to Northville High School students. This program is a win-win for everyone involved, providing students with valuable college credits and our school districts with financial peace of mind."

Aaron Baughman, Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services at Northville Public Schools, encouraged families to attend the information night, saying, "Dual enrollment is a fantastic way for students to start their college journey while still in high school. With this generous grant, they can do so without any cost to them or their families."
